SUPPORT BEGINS WITH THE PERSON

You don’t need to know
exactly what you need yet.

Begin with the person you’re hoping to support. We can talk through the next questions together.

CARE THAT MEETS REAL LIFE

Care, closer to
everyday life.

Different settings. The same goal: making meaningful support easier to reach.

MOBILE COUNSELING

Care can have roots
without staying in one place.

Support where life is already happening.

Make a Difference uses converted Sprinter vans as counseling offices, creating private places for conversation closer to schools and communities. Mobile care sits alongside school-based, in-home and telehealth options.

Appointments and locations are arranged with the practice, with attention to privacy, access and the care setting that fits.

COUNSELING WITH CONNECTION

You don’t need
to arrive with answers.

Start with what you know. We can talk through the rest together.

Connection comes first.

We begin by learning what matters to you, what is happening in your life and what you want to be different. Care is collaborative, practical and shaped around the person in front of us.

COMMUNITY ROOTS

A difference can reach
beyond one conversation.

Heather’s community work extends beyond the counseling practice through Difference Makers of Hawaii, a separate nonprofit. The Power of One video shares its invitation to support the wider community.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS BELONG HERE

A little clarity.
A place to start.

Who do you work with?

The team’s published experience includes children, young people, individuals and families. Tell us who you’re looking for support for so we can discuss clinician fit and current availability.

What is mobile counseling?

Converted Sprinter vans provide private counseling-office spaces in school and community settings. Appointments, locations and access arrangements are planned with the practice.

How do I know which setting is right?

Start with your needs, privacy, access and daily routines. The team can discuss the suitability and availability of school-based, community, home, mobile-office or telehealth care.

Do you accept my insurance?

Ask about your specific plan, clinician and care setting. Confirm network participation, benefits, authorization requirements and out-of-pocket costs with the practice and your insurer.

Can parents contact you for their child?

Yes. You can make a brief inquiry about support for your child or teen. Discuss age range, caregiver involvement, consent, the care setting and current availability.

How does school-based counseling work?

The practice brings counseling onto school campuses during the day. Ask about current school arrangements, referrals, family involvement, scheduling and privacy.

What happens before the first session?

After discussing fit and practical questions, the team explains intake, required forms and appointment arrangements. Use the approved intake process to share health information.

What if I need urgent help?

If there is immediate danger or a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For suicide or emotional crisis support in the U.S., call 988 or text 988. Practice phone and email are not emergency services.

WHEN YOU’RE READY

A conversation
is a place to begin.

You don’t need a perfect explanation. A call or short message is enough.

Email is for general inquiries. Please don’t include sensitive health information in an initial message.

HOW CAN WE CONNECT?

Let’s find
your next step.

Choose a starting point. Then connect directly with the practice to talk about fit and availability.
